My first word was “dog” when I was a little child and that seemed to set the tone for my life’s work. I started working as a dog trainer and behaviourist in 1996 in the USA, and was very lucky to find myself studying with some of the best and most knowledgeable dog professionals in the world.

In 2005 I made my way to Cape Town and fell in love with this beautiful country. I started my current business, Happy Dogs, to offer private, in-home consultations for dogs with various behavioural problems, like aggression, destructive behaviour, excessive barking, general disobedience, etc.

I also teach basic obedience (from beginning to advanced) and train animals big and small in both the film and print media.

My experience is not limited to dogs, however: I regularly work with a wide variety of animals, ranging from parrots to cheetahs, and have become a regular on 567 Cape Talk radio as an animal expert.
